1. For playing solitaire or Klondike you need to place the deck of the card in front of you where the first card needs to be facing upside. Then starting from left to right 6 cards need to be placed on the table but these cards should be facing downside unlike the first one.
2. After that the second row of card need to be placed whereby the first lot will have a card facing upside and it will be followed by placing of further cards but these faces are to be placed hidden. This pattern needs to be repeated for all the 7 columns.
3. You need to then collect all the visible aces from the horizontal rows which will be called the “tableau” and they are considered as the foundation of the game. Considering the order from Ace to King, the cards need to be placed when they are noted. No card can be placed below another card until and unless it falls within the pattern. In case no such card is available then more cards need to be pulled.
4. Three cards need to be taken up together from the “stock” after the options at the tableau and foundation are exhausted. The useful cards should be played on and the talon. There will be some cards which though pulled out but still will not come in any use in fulfilling the order of the card from Ace to King. Such cards need to be considered discarded and such cards should be set aside.
5. Colour suit and numerical value of the card should be taken into consideration before placing them in the opposite manner and increasing order. It helps in proper stocking and management and also it falls within the rule of the game.
6. When you do no have any more cards to play from the stock, talon or tableau or all the 52 cards are properly arranged in the right order then the game is considered to be successfully concluded.
